I am honoured to reach this milestone of Ordination within the UCC after a long period of lay service. I share this milestone with my life-partner of 33 years, Nancy, two adult children, Java and Grace, my parents and siblings. I am grateful for all the active church people that have helped shape me as a Child of God through my life, particularly from Seagrave UC and St. Paul’s UC, Bowmanville. I have felt the ‘nudge’ towards ministry since first being involved with upper levels of the UCC and in 2022 felt the time had arrived that I needed to accept the Call as an Ordained Minister. After a career in education, I became a candidate for ministry in 2023. I have spent three wonderful years serving in a ministry role with Centennial Albert UC in Oshawa, and am excited to be continuing in ministry with the CAUC congregation after Ordination.

Christine has been connected to Centennial Albert United Church for her entire life. She values the church’s strong sense of community and longstanding ministry in Oshawa. As Office Administrator and part of the ministry team, Christine enjoys supporting the life of the congregation through worship, outreach, fellowship, and daily church operations. She appreciates helping create a welcoming and caring church community where people feel included and connected.
